How your documents are processed

When you start a conversion, your documents are uploaded to the NuBox server for processing. File previews are created in your browser. If you enter a PDF password, it is used to open the document for that operation.

When files are deleted

Input files and intermediate conversion files are deleted when processing ends, including when it fails. The result is deleted after the server sends the download response. Downloads are therefore one-time: if the connection is interrupted, you will need to convert the original again. The server cannot confirm that your browser saved the file.

Undownloaded results and files left after an interrupted process are eligible for deletion 30 minutes after their last modification. Cleanup runs every five minutes, so these files are normally removed within about 30–35 minutes while the scheduler is running. Keep your originals; NuBox is not a backup or storage service.

Browser sessions and technical logs

You do not need to provide a name or email address to use the PDF tools. NuBox uses an essential session cookie to validate requests and limit access to results to the browser session that created them. Blocking this cookie can prevent conversions or downloads.

Using the tools without an account does not mean complete anonymity. Technical error logs may contain error details and internal file paths. The document cleanup schedule does not apply to logs, session data or support messages.

Messages sent through the contact form

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message. These details are sent to a support group on Telegram to help us handle your enquiry and reply by email. Telegram also processes the message under its own privacy policy.

If you submit the form without JavaScript and validation or delivery fails, the entered details are temporarily kept in your session so you can correct or resend them. Do not include passwords, confidential document contents or sensitive personal information.

Google Analytics

NuBox uses Google Analytics to understand visits to its public pages. Google may process page URLs, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers. Analytics cookies are separate from the essential session cookie used for conversions.

NuBox does not add document contents, PDF passwords, original filenames or contact message text to analytics events. Measurement stops when you interact with a form, and the Google tag is not loaded on editor, result or error pages. Public page URLs sent by this integration omit query strings and fragments.

Cookie settings and advertising choices

Your browser settings let you block or remove cookies, although blocking NuBox’s essential session cookie can stop conversions or downloads from working. You can block Google Analytics separately using browser privacy settings or Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Documents with special handling requirements

Only upload documents you have permission to send to this service. If a document’s confidentiality rules require it to stay on your device or be processed by an approved provider, do not upload it to NuBox.

Privacy requests and policy changes

Use the contact form to ask about this policy or the personal information you have provided. You can also use it to request access, a correction or deletion. Explain your request without sending private documents or passwords. We update this policy when the service or the way we handle data changes.
