Use the page position, not the printed number

Count from the first page in your PDF reader, starting at 1. Include the cover, blank pages and contents pages. If the page labelled “1” is the third page in the file, enter 3 to extract it.

Create the two files

  1. Add the ten-page report to Split PDF and enter 1-3, 8-10 in “Page ranges”.
  2. Select “Split PDF” and download the ZIP. Extract it to access the two PDFs.
  3. Open both PDFs and check that each contains three pages. Compare the first and last pages of each extracted section with the original report.

Need both sections in one PDF?

Each comma-separated range creates a separate PDF. Unzip the result and use Merge PDF to combine those files. Splitting does not remove pages from the original on your device.
